Majawa has been training with Wanderers at Kamuzu Stadium from Tuesday when they returned from the off-season break. His last club outside the country was eSwatini’s Mochudi Centre Chiefs.
Wanderers Chairperson Gift Mkandawire and Team Manager Steven Madeira confirmed the development but declined to state if they are interested in signing the veteran player.
“Majawa is indeed training with us. He has just started training with us as one of our sons but I do not know the status of his contract [in eSwatini]. We are going to see how he will perform in training before we begin talking about signing him,” Mkandawire said.
A Chiefs official who declined to be named said Majawa was released at the club last season.
Majawa, who signed for Botswana’s Township Rollers in 2008, quit the Gaborone giants after declining a pay-cut in 2017.
While in Botswana, the former Nomads captain won five league titles, the Mascom Top 8 and two Kabelano Charity Cup medals to establish himself as a legend for Rollers.
